Humboldt Park
A quiet homage to one of Chicago’s most distinctive historic parks, this series explores the interplay among architecture, landscape, and memory. Humboldt Park’s lagoons, bridges, statues, pathways, and landmark buildings create a setting where formal design and nature continually overlap.
Photographed in black and white, the park becomes a study of structure, texture, light, and shadow. Arches frame distant views, old fences lead toward historic buildings, and open expanses of water and prairie reveal another side of the city.
These photographs are less a complete document of Humboldt Park than a personal record of the details and compositions that continue to draw me back: quiet corners, architectural forms, and the enduring character of a place shaped by both history and landscape.
