Rogers Park
This series of black-and-white photographs explores the architectural character of Howard Street in Rogers Park, Chicago. The images trace the corridor’s transition from the Lake Michigan shoreline in the east to Ridge Boulevard in the west, highlighting a mix of historic terra cotta details, local landmarks, and the industrial structures of the Howard transit hub. Elevated tracks cross above the street, trains appear between buildings, and older architectural details survive within a neighborhood that continues to change around them. Emphasizing light and shadow, these stylized compositions capture the textures of the neighborhood's evolving urban landscape and its vintage Chicago roots.
